Solutions: Kaizen IT’s Partnership with Savvy

How Kaizen IT transformed Savvy’s fragmented IT infrastructure by implementing a unified server environment, robust security protocols, and cloud-based collaboration tools.

Savvy is an award-winning marketing agency, working with some of the world’s biggest brands and retailers to sell more by influencing consumer behaviour.

The Challenge

In 2017, Kaizen was approached by Savvy, to review their existing IT support and services processes. Like many creative agencies, they worked in a cross-platform environment of macOS devices for the Creative Studio and Windows devices for all remaining users. Each environment was isolated from the other, with separate server hardware, backup strategies and access management. This led to poor productivity, security vulnerabilities and data leakage.


The Solution

We implemented a secure highly available server environment for all workflows and device type, a simple and robust backup strategy with an Identity and Access Management framework of policies to control who has access to their digital resources. More recently, we have migrated Savvy to Egnyte, a cloud ‘fileserver’ replacement platform that offers far greater agility and collaboration features compared to traditional on-premises Server technology.

Security Focus

IT security has been central to our partnership with Savvy. We have implemented comprehensive device management, patching policies and local admin access controls. We have further enhanced email security with DMARC monitoring, mail spam and AV filtering, mail journaling and phishing training awareness.

Ongoing Support

We support Savvy with a monthly per-user pricing model, providing helpdesk support and weekly onsite engineering visits for proactive maintenance and system changes.

Hardware and Software Management

Kaizen supplies all Apple and Windows devices and manages the company’s hardware inventory. We handle all device provisioning for new employees and process returned equipment when staff leave. We also manage their key software licenses, including Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
